REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 or NCV Level 4; 3 year degree/diploma in Financial Management, Public Administration or any relevant qualification; 3-5 years' experience in student support administration including bursaries; Advanced computer literacy (MS-Word , MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project); Valid driver's licence.

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

 

Responsible for student orientation in general; Monitor student attendance; Student health, wellness and safety; Student financial aid; Student career guidance and advisory services; Student recruitment and enrolment; Academic support; Responsible for the administration of bursary applications; Co-ordinate the (PESC) Parent Educator Student Committee);Conduct home visits when necessary; Responsible for student well-being at college and residences; Write and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports

;Ensure that Bursary recipients qualifying for accommodation allowance and transfer allowances are attended to placement of students in residences is done; Make reconciliation of bursary awards; Facilitate campus class representative council meetings and ensure that class representatives are in place annually.

COMPETENCIES:

Ability to provide leadership; Excellent computer skills / knowledge of Microsoft Office; Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing;) Effective time management skills; Use problem-solving techniques to tactfully address questions/concerns.
